All Rights Reserved. But if there was any overheating, once the computer shuts off and I turn it back on, it should shut off even faster cause whatever is overheating should still be hot....right?!!! Hopefully this helps! It lasted about an hour. I noticed two things and it just clicked (I put two and two together) this evening. No, just adding photos. Very odd.A couple things that I tried as well as some curious observations:1) kept the computer in the bios for 30 min and it also shuts down2) temperature seems fine. 30ish If this does not work, I will return the computer to Best Buy for refund.
High forties @ bios.3) tested all ram sticks separatelly and they all work fine.4) bios recognizes all 32 GB of ram running @ 1333 ( not 1600 for some reason). Plug in the the motherboard on the PSU (preferrably another PSU, perhaps an old one which will still have enough power to boot a mobo-ram-cpu) with only the CPU, RAM and Since my bios version isn't the latest, I tried giving that a shot as well). It's only when I plug it in that the laptop has successfully powered on every time. PS: The laptop is about 4-5 years old. If the chipset detect he is running another processor it will automatically shut down every 30 minutes. This makes a difference as manufacturers will make batteries that are designed for the exact model.
This will also happen on many non-HP laptops, if you don't have a HP laptop or there is not a "Rixane" option available, select the "Portable/Laptop" power scheme. I believe there was a GPU reball issue which resulted a group class action against HP. I don't know if it helped but it was the one thing I hadn't tried which made more sense than anything else.
