I was a Beta tester for Vista during the RC1 and previous version to that and I remember Movie Maker having all sorts of bugs. I'm glad to have found a reasonable, simple and free option for creating DVDs on Window 8 in DVDStyler. Might have something to do with the Beta you had installed. I just want to import a video file into a simple app and create a DVD.
