Windows 7 64 bit pc 2nd HDD was working, was named 2nd HDD and had letter E in win explorer. For some reason my HDMI cable didn't work with the monitor I was using. If the fault follows the suspect cable then the cable is at fault but if it stays with your multiple monitor configuration then the cable is free of problems. I could get it to come back by shutting down and restarting, but this isn't compatible with my needs for this computer. an external monitor displays fine.
