and where should I look? Use some can air to blow out the vents, don't set your laptop directly in your lap or on a pillow because this can block air flow and cause over heating. Like memory? Now, if your computer keeps rebooting itself even in the safe mode, there is a problem either with the operating system or hardware.

Check it carefully for corrosion after that - you'll want to check the battery terminals, ram contacts, etc very carefully, as they'll be easy places to spot corrosion. If so then it is back to the drawing board.
