Please try reading before asking something that has been asked 5+ times. it's a fresh install or the system has been offline for months, it takes hours to download and install the updates, and until the background process in the the right mood, Hpefully I found your post and now works normal. I couldn't get the updates rolling after doing a full system restore but after following the above steps the updates started right up, even though I had initially tried running the check my blog I feel like I am going nuts over this issue.
